Yesterday was a tough day for me. First news in the morning I got Warning email from Facebook:
"because we received a notice from a third party that your offer of goods and/or promotion of the sale of goods infringes on their trademark rights"
2nd may is the second day my ad on Facebook running. I don't know which company I have infringes their trademark rights. I have really no idea. As far as I know my business is not under anyone else company.
The outcome from this is that they have disabled my business page and I could not access my page anymore. I don't know who the person is but well done. You did a great job.
The things that upset me very much is that, I only got the first warning from Facebook and secondly, they took my whole page which I can't access anymore. My business name page is not copyright under anyone else. I did homework before I pick up a name for my business. If I offer of goods and/or promotion of the sale of goods infringes on their trademark rights, why dont just ask me to stop the promotion instead of shut the whole page? Sigh
I have googled yesterday and some is worst than me. For instant, they have 6k and 16k likes just gone like. Just because someone has reported and there you are, no second chance, or remove anything that related to the report, no. Facebook just simply shut your page down. It happens to me.
I asked advise from my friend yesterday and she told me, it had happened to her friend before. She sell no brand cloths and her fb page was blocked because someone jealous and make a report to Facebook and there you go, page has been blocked. Im not sure whether her friend use personal profile or bsns page. I didnt ask uh.
Its my fault though. I choose and rely so much on Facebook page. Facebook is useful, effective and popular medium for businesses. I admit that. But, Facebook can shut your page down if you breach any of their rules and regulations. I noted on that. The sad part is, if someone claim that it theirs and Facebook act to it and boom! Your page that has 2k likes gone like ashes. My initiative, my time,my contact, my energy that I have given on this page since 2010 up to yesterday, gone.
I have no offense against Facebook. We use their FREE service and thank you Facebook. You are the best!
I just realized I rely so much on Facebook and of course we cant blame them. its not their fault and many things around the world need to handle by them. And now its time to switch and improve my customer database and sources.
I just wanna share my experience and to those people who want to start business online, don't just really on one medium. You have to have many business medium to choose from and as a backup if something goes wrong.
Big lesson learned from this. Going to start from the beginning. Good luck Luna and there are people out there wanna see you down but you have to stay strong and dont give up easily. Failure is the key to success. Remember that luna...
